Rated 1 out of 5 by Oxonbased from Shoddy Glazing I love the look of these plates but having ordered 12 I have returned 5 as the glazing was faulty. When I immersed them in water to wash them before using them for the first time a dark water stain appeared across the base of the plates. Not only was this unsightly but if the glazing lets in water what else will it let in? I also bought 12 smaller plates and have had to return 5 of them and of the 12 pasta bowls I bought I've returned 9 - all for the same glazing fault. This is something Bridgewater really need to sort out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by IloveEmmaBridgewater from Perfect Dinner Plates - Practical and looks great! We have 6 of these plates and we given these for our wedding back in 2007. Its nearly 4 years later and they are still doing well and are used daily. These are excellent plates and are perfect for dinner and also for lunches. We have even used them along with the pasta bowl underneath and they look great. These are fantastic plates and they look great as well as being practical. Couldn't be without these plates, they are used daily and look great on the table as well as stacked in the cupboard. Highly recommended and compliment other Polka Dot items well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by tartybottom from Dinner plates not like they used to be made.. I had originally ordered the seconds ones and returned those in favour of first quality ones. These first quality ones are what i was expecting of the seconds quality ones! Quite disappointed. I wanted some decent plates for an important family meal. I had plenty of time, so ordered the seconds ones a s it is supposed to be hard to tell the difference between firsts and seconds. Well they were awful, glaze looked like it was dripping off! You could see that they were really bad so i returned them and then purchased first quality. Sadly, they had little pin pricks here and there and when i held my ten year old Emma Bridgewater ones next to the new ones, you could see the distinct difference between standards then and standards now! Spots were watery looking too.. My old plates are lovely. I wasn't able to return these new ones as i had to use them for the event and had no more time left. My husband said he noticed i went for the seconds option! He wasn't very impressed when i said they weren't seconds!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Lily71299 from Lovely plates The plates are really pretty. I was a bit disappointed with the finish. Still in two minds as to send them back. The underside of the plates was very rough. One of the plates actually scratched my work surface. I realise I am paying for the design but I would have expected a quality item too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by San661 from Polka Dot My daughter and her boyfriend, selected Emma Bridgewater Polka Dot for their china collection. I began the collection with dinner, side and small plates and bowls. My daughter opened her special red box and was utterly delighted with the first part of her very own Emma Bridgewater collection. What a bright and fun china collection, it all looks beautiful. Another very satisfied customer for life, thank you Emma Bridgewater!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bengal from I bought 4 of these a few days ago and I was so impressed with them I bought another 4 just 2days later along with a 2 mug teapot . I am absolutely delighted with my purchase the defects are so small if they hadn't been marked with a black line I would never have known they were 2nds . I will definitely be buying more, I have a feeling this weeks purchases are the beginning of many :)
