The shape of the French bowls reminds me of my Bols de Bretagne I purchased whilst a student of French at Uni so they were the first shape at Emma Bridgewater that really caught my eye in that moment of nostalgia! I love how they stand, they have a very satisfying shape to me and they look great on the dresser and in the recent sale I bought the Polka Dots, Sampler and Red Stars. Recent international visitors loved the Black Toast place setting for their breakfast! The bowls are versatile enough for a variety of foods as well as the original French use of the "Bol" to drink out of as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by LoveEntertaining from Great bowl with many uses I'm a big fan of EB. These BT French Bowls are great; I use them for cereal, side salads, ice cream, soup also handy for small side dishes of vegetables and raita etc. The only downside is that out of all of the EB crockery I have (probably 100 pieces), these bowls are the only ones that have chipped - only 2 in as many years and I do use them everyday. It might be that my dishwasher doesn't like the shape so I suggest you stack them more carefully than me. Don't let that put you off as it is surely a case of 'a bad tradesman blames his tools'

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kimiko from Black Toast French Bowl- A classic! I love the classic black toast range, but find the french bowls especially useful. They are used daily for cereals, soups, deserts and nibbles. They are deceptively roomy and look good filled with just about anything. The quality speaks for itself. They are solid but still feel delicate. If you don't already have one (or more!) I would suggest investing in some.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sheps from Lovely breakfast bowl, super customer service. I bought this as a gift for Mother's Day and my mum loved it. Just the right size for a good sized bowl of porridge/cereal. The product has a nice feel to it and a good quality finish too. The first product I ordered had a small mark on it, but the team at Emma Bridgewater were able to send a replacement out express delivery at no extra charge so that it arrived in time :)
