Our Royal History
Here at Emma Bridgewater we are proud to be part of the Staffordshire potters’ long tradition of producing commemorative wares for royal occasions. We made our first commemorative mug in 1986 and have since produced another 16, marking everything from the Queen’s Golden, Diamond and Platinum Jubilees to the marriages and births of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren respectively. This, however, is our very first coronation, and to celebrate this landmark moment we have produced designs in both our traditional sponge-decorating technique and lithograph transfer. We have mugs, teapots, plates and cake stands, all decorated by hand and standing ready to mark the occasion.
